It was from humble beginnings that Flex has built a team of positive people to help others in the area of design manufacture and service.
The founders started the operation from a garage in Northcote in 1994 with two-second hand vans and a hand full of tools. The interest rate was at 17.5% and two young families were well under way.

We have progressed from the single car garage to a new facility in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with state of the art manufacturing systems along with solid business practises. We have built a supply chain network adding value to the product as often as possible and forming alliances with customers and suppliers alike. We believe this model will develop long lasting relationships paving our way into the future.

Flex have recently been presented a government grant for the development of an EPS press (Expanded Poly Styrene) in conjunction with PACIA (Plastics and Chemical Industry Association) to assist in the recovery of Poly Styrene packaging in outer metro and regional areas of Australia.

At FLEX we believe good management goes hand in hand with a good product and with Wendy as the first port of call we are sure all of our customers needs will be well taken care of from logging your service calls to providing reports on accounts, trends etc.

The company boasts a list of qualifications and achievements held by its staff including mechanical engineering, fitting and turning, welding, hydraulics, electrical, electronics, communications, lift mechanic, refrigeration and business.

Flex believes training and cross training of skills is an excellent confidence builder and contributes to the high morale and the culture of the company.
