This press had worked for some time then
simply split in half and required a total rebuild. Firstly we decided
that the job could be carried out at reasonable price. We then proceeded
to strip the machine of its extensive electrical and hydraulic system.
This part was easy, putting it back together with no parts left over and
expecting it to work was a little trickier.
Special attention had to be paid to accuracy and detail for the job to
be successful.
Engineering companies often take on similar projects
but do not appreciate the subtle requirements needed to pull off a job
like this. In most cases it comes down to experience but in almost every
case the repairer must understand the big picture.
We have welders, fitters, electricians, hydraulic
technicians and programmers all under the one roof working together for
a common goal. (Often helping each other)
As you can see the finished product is better than
new and awaits the electrical and hydraulic technicians. To re-assemble
the controls and the drive system ready for commissioning
This press has been running 2 shifts,
6 days a week for the past 12 months and hasn't’t missed a beat.
