We have experience designing, manufacturing and installing all types of material handling equipment such as hoists, truck docking equipment, specialist hydraulic Baleing and compacting equipment; as well as full TURNKEY plant installation.
Our range of products have evolved from years of exposure on all types of equipment. Our custom designed machinery is of high quality and serviceability for years of trouble free operation.
Example 1:
FlexEMS were asked if we could design a system that could deal with all the solid waste generated by the 180 crew members of the HMAS PERTH while at sea. The aim of the task was to provide ship’s staff with better capability to manage their solid waste constraints and new international maritime waste dumping laws. Our design incorporated a Shredder/Horizontal Baler and a Glass Hammer Mill. All equipment needed to fit within the space constraints of the vessel. A prototype system was designed, manufactured and installed on the PERTH. Our prototype was so successful the Commonwealth approved the installation of the Solid Waste processing equipment on all ANZAC Class Frigates during the ASMD Upgrade Program.
Example 2:
Woolworths had a safety issue. Timber pallets being returned from their stores needed to be stacked and prepared for transport back to CHEP and LOSCAM. The traditional way of aligning 20 pallets so the maximum could be transported, was to use a forklift with an extended mast as a battering ram. Clearly this process caused many concerns, not only to the forklift operator but also the damage caused to the forklift itself. Again, FlexEMS were asked to come up with a solution. We designed and manufactured a Pallet Straightener and installed the first unit at a Woolworths Regional Distribution Centre. This has now led to roll out of four Pallet Aligners across all Victorian Distribution Centres.
