Occupational Health and Safety is essential in any workplace and FlexEMS has carried out over $10,000,000.00 worth of safety related work incorporating Australian Standards and local regulations in conjunction with safety professionals.
As a result of the extensive safety related work we have completed, we have compiled a database of easy to understand guidelines about safety relevant to our industry.
Our experienced staff provide a risk assessment, hazard identification reporting and monitoring services.
Example 1:
FlexEMS where engaged by the GLT Group to design, fabricate and install safety guarding to their Northside chair lift following a Worksafe audit of the site, with only 6 weeks to complete the entire project before the season opening. The task was completed on time with the installation taking place during the worst snow blizzard in 15 years. The project required mechanical and electrical safety interlocking to comply with AS4024 Category 4. A follow up audit by Worksafe passed all requirements to allow the use of the chair lift for the snow season opening weekend.
Example 2:
Baling and compaction equipment are considered to be high risk, there is a lot of machinery in industry, currently in use, that is unsafe, this exposes business owners and managers to very strict penalties if an unfortunate accident occurs. FlexEMS have developed a “Bolt On” Category 3 safety system that can be adapted to almost any Vertical Baler or Static Compactor.
